mscorees.dll error - install .NET
« on: December 25, 2015, 08:14:20 PM »
Hi,
Just ran the installation and had a “fatal error” msg.  The error states that mscorees.dll didn’t get installed.  It suggests installing the .NET framework.
Does anyone have recommendations how to fix this?  Much appreciated.
(Mac OX 10.11.2 - El Cap OS)  Trying to get Silent Hunter 5 running through the Porting Kit.

Which is your Porting Kit version? And which is your graphic card? Did you installed Mono on the beginning? (Because you shouldn't)

Porting Kit Version 1.8 (1.8.66)
Graphics  Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB (Macbook Pro Early 2015)
I don’t remember if we tried to install Mono or not.  Does that mean we should uninstall and then reinstall?
Thanks for the quick response

Problem solved (Thanks for the suggestion).
I ended up right-clicking on the program.  Went to uninstall - where an option for "repair" .NET appeared.  It took a few min and a restart.  Once done, all was good.
Thanks for the suggestion that triggered this!
Cheers
