Just finished the bloody download.. Steambuild 1 took a bit longer than expected. Everything except the library was Blackscreen on Stream (I opened it through the Porting Kit!), but I managed to copy the PS2 game launcher from Steambuild1x11 to 1. Hereís the result:

As I said, the Steambuilds available online are probably outdated. The ones created by Porting Kit are always receiving updates and are much faster to download.

There is a way to solve the Wineskin Master Wrapper that should work for you: download Wineskin Winery, open it and press its Update button. You can find Wineskin Winery here:

Try to open the Porting Kit again. It should try to update the Wineskin Master Wrapper. Do it after that try of course :P

Yeah wellÖ About thatÖ I think Porting Kit doesnít want to let me go. Closed it (cmd+q) Entire Computer crashed, then blackscreened and restarted. First thing that opened up: Porting Kit  :o (Iím joking, but that actually happened like this!)

I already have it (One of the first things I tried opening PS2 with) and did the update as wellÖ But I was too dumb for those wine tricks etc.

Great :D Well, has I said we still don't have the Planetside 2 port, but you can try the Steambuild ports available at the Porting Kit now. The first one will take a bit more then the others to create, but still it's going to be much faster then the regular download ;)

Yes I did, but the port creation isn't simple for all games. Some games requires winetricks, specific engines, registry changes, specific configurations in the game, and, in the worst cases, even a custom engine. That may take minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, even years (not joking; the game might not work with any Wine engine at the time). My point is: for some games, porting isn't easy.

You can donate if you want, but there is no warranty of when we gonna be able to port the most recent version of Planetside 2. Some games are even considered unportable for now, like games that use DirectX 11 without a DirectX9 option, or games that are compiled to run only at 64 bits computers (which basically means in case of Porting: it will only have a very little chance of working, and it will require a custom engine), and some of these might be the case of the latest Planetside 2.

The conclusion is: if you wanna donate to support the Porting Kit project, that's ok :)
But if you wanna donate to support the creation of that port in specific, that doesn't mean we gonna be able to make it  :-\

BUT you donít know for sure if itís easy or not to port Planetside 2. Iíll just be patient and wait for the result if it is possible or not. And if it is Iíll just donate to the person who manged to do it. It would be only 10 Euro anyway, so it doesnít really matter anyway.

It seems that the game is 64 bit only since the middle of 2015, which means that we won't be able to port too soon. Considering that I will move the Planetside 2 request to the 'UNSUPPORTED BY WINE' category until we have a stable 64 bit engine which can run it (there are already 64 bit custom engines in the Porting Team, but most part of the winetricks seems to don't work with them, which basically means most part of the games won't work too; we don't even have made any port with them because we still don't know how unstable they can be).
