Can't access Workshop, Community or Store within Steam Port
« on: December 07, 2018, 12:12:21 AM »
Basically, I want to download Skyrim mods through the Steam Workshop however, whenever I press community, store or anything else aside from Library I can see the "url" bar trying to connect to the destination and a loading sign at the side (which disappears after a few seconds) and then my steam window "freezes" .

I put "freezes" in quotation marks because if I press library everything returns to normal and I can even launch Skyrim. Furthermore, sometimes (not always, I really don't get it) the "url" bar will turn red and a symbol indicating inability to connect appears.

Anyone have any idea what is causing the problem and/or how to fix it?

The only way to properly fix it is using the unnoficial Wineskin wrappers to install the port. We gonna include that as a builtin option in the future, but for now it needs to be done manually by downloading the unnoficial Wineskin Winery, updating the master wrapper, going to PK Preferences and disabling the Master Wrapper integrity check.

Hi, is there any fix to this? I'm having the same problem and I've tried using the "Wineskin Unofficial Wrapper" and "WS10WineCX18.1.0" engine.

I have the game AOE II, but Friends & Chat on steam does not work. I can't invite my friend to the game.

I also cannot create a lobby my friend can see, even though I can read the lobbies itself. Vice versa, the lobby they create cannot be found either.

Are you by chance using OSX10.8?
As itís not possible even with WineCX18.1.0 to access the Store etc on OSX10.8 due to the lack of TLS1.2 support.

Or itís one of the overrides set by PortingKit stopping the store from loading as it functions for me on an OSX10.9 VM through macOS Mojave.

Hi, I'm using High Sierra 10.13.6. I've done uninstalls & reinstalls of Portingkit & also cleared the caches/wine files through Preferences. What do you think may be the problem?

All I can think is one of the overrides/winetricks installed is causing that issue.

I manually setup my Steam wrapper for all my games so I canít be sure whatís safe to disable in relation to the game your playing since I down own it.
