Any chance we will get Wing Commander 4 and 5 anytime soon? :)

Added both to our Requests List :) but if we gonna get them soon, that's hard to say. We prefer to don't establish predictions since porting isn't an exact science; creating a port may take a long time, and even when we are able to create and add a functional port, it may show up bugs after some time in-game.

For example: once I've made a Dark Souls port and added it to PK. Since the intro movie played fine, there was no problem in the character creation and the game could start normally, I added it to the database. However, in the same day, I discovered that the game would have LOTS of glitches in the very same moment that your character looked at a Bonfire, and these glitches wouldn't revert after stop looking (and in case you haven't played Dark Souls, Bonfires are basically your save points). Considering this I had to remove the port, and I still couldn't make a new functional port for it.

So these ports may get ready tomorrow, in a week, in a month... has I said it's hard to say, so keep checking our database or the Requests List, because when they get ported they will be moved to the 'PORTED' section in the Requests List ;)

About which of the AVP3, I was thinking about the Steam version. Would this be an issue?

No problem, that's even better :)

And actually, I have purchased other games via Steam which are meant to be for PC only but I see that you made ports for them, for example, Monkey Island 2.

Currently I run Monkey Island 2 from a Steam wrapper which I created with PortingKit, but I wondered if there could be a way in which I could run Monkey Island 2 (and other Steam games) directly from the PortingKit without the need to run the PC Steam wrapper.

Well, you can open the port with the Porting Center in Offline mode, press Add Application, and set the path of the new application has:
Code: [Select]
"C:\Program Files\Steam\steam.exe" -no-dwrite -no-cef-sandbox -applaunch XXXXXX
Replace XXXXXX with the Steam code of the game. In order to find out the Steam code of a game, just open its page in Steam with a browser and check the URL address; for example: Monkey Island 2 code is 32460. After saving the port, a small app file will be created inside the port, and there will be shortcut to it in the same folder of the port.

Remove the port from the PK library (don't remove it from the disk, only from the list) and then add the port again. The app files that you created will now be added to the library has well, and you will be able to launch the game 'directly' (in the same way that shortcuts for Steam games work on Windows).

Hello,
could you consider porting Master of Magic ?
Thank you

It's already in our Requests List ;)

Hello Porting Team,

First of all, let me congratulate you for the amazing job that you are doing!

Today I managed to install Aliens Vs. Predator 2000 Classic by using the PortingKit, works great!

I wonder if you would consider also to port Aliens Vs. Predator 2010, also known as AVP3.

I found a website where they say that they managed to port it already, but I tried and I'm struggling to follow their instructions... it is not so straight forward as using the PortingKit (did I say that it is awesome already?!)

The link to the other team who made the port for AVP3 is this:

Cheers!

Hello Carlos,

Which version of the game do you want to see ported? The DVD one or the Steam one?

Can you add Call of Duty: Black Ops 2? Please!
Added, but it won't be possible anytime soon, because it needs DX11.
