Make sure before clicking "INSTALL NOW" that you have downloaded the setup files from your GOG library after purchase, into your download folder, so Porting Kit can start the installation automatically. You will be prompted to install the game like if you were in Windows.
Welcome to the Combat Chess for Mac Page. This WSI file will create a Wrapper and install Combat Chess into that Wrapper. The GOG.com version is tested and DRM free. So this version is advised to use (not the Steam version). When you don’t own the Windows game yet, then the WSI file will supply you the link to the game page where you can purchase this Windows game. Click “Download” to download and create the Wrapper. For questions and help check the Help/FAQ tab in the Porting Kit.
If you like Combat Chess, then you will also like the Battle Chess Special Edition which contains Battle Chess, Battle Chess 2 and Battle Chess 4000
Play with living, battling characters! Combat Chess takes the basic chess game and adds an imaginative element for players bored with the simple “black vs. white” chess board. Beautifully done in rendered 3D graphics, Combat Chess adds stunning animation sequences during gameplay. Combat Chess is written to Grand Master standards and supports play against human opponents.
- The free Porting Kit app
- A two Button USB mouse with scroll-wheel (recommended)
- The GOG.com version of Combat Chess
- With the recent installers of GOG.com, the installation will end in a few errors. If they occur, then just click them away. It won’t effect the game in any way.
- advise to play in full screen mode, because windowed mode may give some graphical bugs. You can switch to full screen using the full screen button, in the left bottom corner of the chess board.
