Install Banished

  • Updated on 8 October 2017

This WSI file will create a Wrapper and install Banished (32bit) into that Wrapper. The GOG.com version is tested and DRM free. So this version is advised to use (not the Steam version). When you don’t own the Windows game yet, then the links here will supply you tthe game page where you can purchase this Windows game. Before installing make sure you download the setup to the download folder first. Click ”Download” to download and create the Wrapper. For questions and help check the help/faq tab in the Portingkit.

    Game description:

Banished is a city building game where you control a group of exiled people who are restarting their lives in the wilderness. They have only the clothes on their backs and a cart filled with supplies from their homeland.

The townspeople work, build, get older, have children, and eventually die. Keeping them healthy, happy, and fed are essential to making a successful town grow. Any structure can be built at any time, provided that your people have collected the resources to do so.

There are many occupations that the people can perform from farming, hunting, and blacksmithing, to fishing, teaching, and healing. You can choose to replant forests, mine for iron, and quarry for rock, and more!

    Requirements:

    - The free Porting Kit app

    - A two Button USB mouse with scroll-wheel (recommended)

    - The 32 bit GOG.com version of Banished

    Notes:

    - Download the 32 Bit version of the game!!

    - With the recent installers of GOG.com, the installation will end in a few errors. If they accuse, then just click them away. It won’t effect the game in any way.

    Mods:

Small mods will work fine by adding the .pkm files into the game folder doing: click “more” —> show package contents —>  /Resources/drive_c/GOG Games/Banished/Win32 and put the mod into that folder. Close the window and click play in the local tab! Big mods won’t work for at least on low-end macs, but you should test that yourself. No guarantees that all mods will work.
