Install Supreme Commander

  • Updated on 16 July 2017

This WSI file will download and install the Windows Steam client into the Portingkit. You can then download and install Supreme Commander into Steam. The Game Republic version (steam Serial) is tested and DRM free. So this version is advised to use. When you don’t own the Windows game yet, then the WSI file will supply you the link to the game page where you can purchase this Windows game. Click “Download” to download and create the Wrapper. For questions and help check the help/faq tab in the Portingkit.

    Game description:

For a thousand years, three opposing forces have waged war for what they believe is true. There can be no room for compromise: Their way is the only way. Dubbed The Infinite War, this devastating conflict has taken its toll on a once peaceful galaxy and has only served to deepen the hatred between the factions. After centuries of struggle, the battle for supremacy has at last reached a turning point. Under your strategic command and leadership, only one faction will reign supreme. Will you be victorious and elevate your race to domination? Or will you lead them into the hell of defeat and ultimate extinction?

    Requirements:

    - The free Porting Kit app

    - A two Button USB mouse with scroll-wheel (recommended)

    - The Steam version of Supreme Commander

    Notes:

After installation Launch the game once, where you will notice black screen with blue cursor. Then end the game by doing “cmd alt esc”. Then go to you application folder and right-cicl the Supreme Commander Wrapper —> show package content —>  navigate to: drive_c/users/Wineskin/Local Settings/Application Data/Gas Powered Games/SupremeCommander, and there replace the text of the game.prefs with this one.

Now launch the game again and black screen should be fixed.

There might me also a scroll bug, if you experience that as well, go to the in-game options —> interface —> and turn on ““Lock fullscreen cursor to window”. See screenshot.
